Niseko 2017/2018 season has to be the best season we have experienced in many many years. The first "significant" snowfall we experienced took place on the 16th of November. With over 20 cm covering the village in this white magical fluffy stuff, you could feel the excitement in town grow!
By the end of December, the snowfall that was recorded was already 5 meters. The last season we remember it being like this would have been 2009/2010. The word of the "powder tap" being turned on had spread around the globe.
All through the winter months of January and February the snow consistency was unreal. The snow attracted a lot of tourists and the town was the liveliest it has ever been, restaurants, ski lessons, back-country guides was very booked out all the way through to mid March.

With the season coming to an end, we passed the 15 meters line for the total snowfall in Niseko! This had been the busiest and best season by far for as long as we can
remember.
